Procedures with green clay

Procedure Description
Due to its porous structure, Green Clay is a natural adsorbent, which literally removes all kinds of by-products our skin leaves behind or builds up inside of its layers, like oils, dirt and toxins.

The mineral content of green clay is extraordinary, including but not limited to: magnesium, calcium, potassium, zinc, silicon, selenium, iron, copper, and cobalt
The absorbent properties of green clay work in beauty treatments by drawing out impurities and toxins from the skin, toning and firming while stimulating circulation
Estheticians use it to tighten pores, exfoliate dead skin, and reveal a smoother, fresher complexion
It is known to clear skin and heal blemishes, usually in the form of a clay mask
It is a comforting remedy for aching muscles and joints, especially when combined with the essential oils of rosemary or lavender.
1. Facial cleanser
Use glass or plastic bowl ( not a metal one). Combine the green clay and water in a bowl and stir. Leave it for 20 min. After this period of time the clay „ activates“ and becomes a really effective cosmetic mean. Wash your face (and body) as using a liquid soap with gentle massage for a few minutes. The clay is detoxifying and cleansing so much that people with dry skin should be careful in using it.
Another way of making facewash: pour a 1/2 teaspoon of the powder into your hand. Run your hand under some running water and then drip the water into the powder. Mix in your hand until you get a paste. Rub all over your face for 2-3 minutes. You can also leave on as a mask. Rinse off with warm water.

2. Purifying face mask.
To make a facial mask from powered clay, combine ½ to 1 tablespoon of the powder with 1 – 2 tablespoon of water and apply it to the skin, rinse with warm water after 10 – 15 min. This kind of mask is suitable for the skin with enlarged capillary, with impurities, blotches  and skin with clogged pores. After washing the mask apply a natural oil on the wet face skin.

3. Hair mask.
Mixing Dosage: 2-4 tablespoons (1 part clay,  2-3 parts warm water)
Clay’s super tiny particles do their job of going further and penetrating deeper into the hair follicles, scalp and skin to purify, detoxify, rejuvenate and help regenerate new hair and skin cells and promote healthy hair growth while ridding you of dead skin.
Green Clay will promote hair growth and will halt hair loss. You can use Green Clay as a hair conditioner or a scalp mask before, instead of or after shampooing on a regular basis.

Procedure Description

Green clay is constituted by several minerals and oligoelements such as iron oxide, magnesium, calcium, potassium, manganese, phosphorus, zinc, etc. They are responsible for the color and
properties of Green Clay.
This type of clay is recommended for normal, oily or with acne skin. It helps to detoxify, remineralize and regenerate skin, maintaining its balance and health. It is also applied as cataplasms to reduce oedemas, cellulitis or articular pain.

Base Mask
1 cup of Fine Green Clay, 1 tablespoon of Honey, 1 tablespoon of Sweet Almond or Olive oil, ½ cup of natural mineral water. These four natural substances are rich in solar forces and solar heat.
In one cup of mineral water, dissolve the honey, add the oil and mix well, then gradually add 1 cup of fine clay continuing to stir energetically until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This is the base mask.
Attention: After 3 minutes the mask will begin to pull at the skin, this is a normal reaction. After having removed the mask, in some cases the skin will be reddened, this too is a normal reaction on some skin types. In the case of very sensitive skin a light burning sensation can be felt on the skin accompanied by some reddening. This is also a natural reaction.
Important: A few minutes after applying a mask you will notice a pleasing sense of freshness and relaxation of the skin. After having removed the mask you will find that your skin has become softer.
How to use: Using a small spatula, spread the mask on your face and forehead, leaving it in place for the time specified in the recipe. Then remove the mask using a sponge dampened with warm water.

You can clean the bath of clay deposits with a jet of water from the shower. The clay will not block the bathroom plumbing.

Benefits of using clay masks:

The clay absorbs waste, harmful toxins, oil and dirt from the skin. Do you know that expensive facial cream that you use everyday? Your skin won't be able to absorb it if your skin has accumulated dirt and blocking the cream. Therefore, it would be a waste of money using that facial cream everyday if your skin is not properly cleaned. The clay is great to clean the skin as it absorbs all the dirt, toxins and oil from the skin.
The skin absorbs the minerals from the clay as it dries up, nourishing the skin. The clay rejuvenates the skin due to the high mineral contents. Each clay has different effect on the skin.
Cleaner skin and smaller pores
Moisturize the skin
Treat acne. It treats acne as the clay removes excess oil from your skin. The recommended clay powder for acne sufferers is green clay powder.
Stimulates blood circulation. As the clay dries up, it will tighten your skin and you will feel it pressuring your skin, stimulating the blood circulation of your face. When it is dried up you can hardly move your face. It is a weird but good sensation.
